A RESOLUTlm, OF THE CITY COU~CIL OF THE CITY
OF SA\"TA :10!'-:ICA REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COU~TY OF LOS A~GELES TO
PE&\fIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COU~TY
TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO SAID CITY
RELATIXG TO THE CO~DUCT OF A GENERAL ~U~ICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD O~ APRIL 10, 1979.
WHEREAS, a General }funiclpal Election lS to be held In
the CIty of Santa ~onlca, Callfornia, and that portlon of the
Santa }.10ll1ca Unlfied School DIstrIct and Santa ~lonica Communlty
College DIstrlct lying outslde the corporate ll~lts of the City
of Santa ~lonica on AprIl 10, 1979; and
WHEREAS, In the course of conduct of sald electIon and
In relatIon thereto, lt WIll be necessary to Mall sample ballots
and pollIng place informatlon to the registered voters of the Clty
and to those voters in the Santa MonIca Unlfied School DIstrIct
and Santa MOllIca Communlty College DIstrict lying outslde the
CIty of Santa MonIca, and It will fac]litate such maillng lf the
Reglstrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles will nake avaIlable
to said City the computeT records of the names and addresses of all
ellglble Teglstered voters of saId City and to those voters In those
school dlstrlcts lYIng outslde the City of Santa ~lonica, ln order
that labels may be printed and attached to self-~ailer sample ballot
booklets; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense ln performing this serVlce
shall be pald by the Clty of Santa ~onica;
XOK, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMI~E A~D ORDER as follows:
SECTIO~ 1. That pursuant to the prOVIsIons of Sectlon 22003
of the Electlons Code of the State of Callfornia, this City Council

hereby requests the Board of Supervlsors of sald County to permit
the RegIstrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to saId CIty for use
lU conductIng said electlon to be held on April 10, 1979, the
computer records of the names and addresses of all eligIble regls-
tered voters of sald CIty and to tho se voters in the Santa :fonlca
UnifIed School Dlstrict and the Santa Monica Community College District
IYlng outslde the City of Santa Monica, In order that the Clty may
prlnt labels to be attached to self-mailer sample ballot booklets; and
will also furnish to the Clty prlnted Indices of the voters to be used
by the Board at the polling place; and will make available to the City
addltlonal electIon equlpment and assistance according to State law.
SECTION 2. That said City shall reimburse saId County for
services performed when the work lS completed and upon presentation
to the City of a properly approved blll.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk lS hereby directed to forward
WIthout delay to saId Board of SupervIsors and to said Registrar of
Voters each a certifled copy of this resolutlon.
