A RESOLUTIO~ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ~10NICA, CALIFoR~IA, PROVIDING THAT ALL
BALLOTS BE COUNTED AT A CEXTRAL COUNTING PLACE
WHEREAS, It lS desirable that all ballots cast by electors
at the General Municipal E1ectlon to be held in said city on Tuesday,
April 10, 1979 be counted at a central place' and
WHEREAS, Section 17050 of the Elections Code of the State
of Cal~fornla authorizes the Clty Council to provide that all ballots
cast at said General MunIcIpal Election be counted at a central
counting place'
~ow, THEREFORE, THE CITY COU~CIL OF THE CITY OF SA~TA MONICA,
CALIFOR~IA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMI\E AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTIO~ 1. That pursuant to SectIon 17050 of the Electlons
Code of the State of California, ballots cast by electors at the
General Munlclpal Electlon to be held on Tuesday, April 10, 1979 be
counted at a central place.
SECTION 2. That Santa Monica City Hall is hereby deslg-
nated as the central place to count said ballots.
SECTION 3. That notice of the central countlng place lS
hereby given and the Clty Clerk is hereby authorIzed, instructed and
dlrected to gIve such further or additlonal notice of the central
counting place in tlme, form and manner as requlred by law.

SECTION 4. That the CIty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
