RESOLUTION NO. 5248 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE 1970 STORt1 DRAIN BOND ISSUE PROJECT
NO. 7451, UNIT 4, AND GRANTING THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT THE RIGHT TO OCCUpy AND USE
STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, on June 29,1971, the Los Angeles County Flood Control
District, a body corporate and politic, and the City of Santa Monica, a
Municipal Corporation, entered into Agreement No. 1971 (City Council Series),
a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Agreement No. 1971, the City Engineer of
the City of Santa Monica has prepared the "Plans and Specifications for the
Construction of Project No. 7451, Santa Monica, Unit 4, Lines Hand J, 1970
Storm Drain Bond Issue, in the City of Santa Monica, California," a copy
of which is attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, on February 28, 1979, Mr. K. W. Kummerfeld, Division
Engineer of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, requested that
the City Council of the City of Santa Monica approve the attached plans and
specifications and authorize the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
to proceed with the construction described therein and that the City of
Santa Monica grant permission to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
to occupy and use the public streets of the City of Santa Monica to operate
and maintain said storm drain installations upon their completion.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The "Plans and Specifications for the Construction
of Project No. 7451 Santa Monica, Unit 4, Lines Hand J, 1970 Storm Drain
Bond Issue, in the City of Santa Monica, California," a copy of which is
attached hereto, are approved.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica does
authorize the Los Angeles County Flood Control District to proceed with the
construction described in the attached IISpecifications for the Construction
of Project No. 7451 Santa Monica, Unit 4, Lines Hand J, 1970 Storm Drain
Bond Issue, in the City of Santa Monica, California.1I
SECTION 3. The City of Santa Monica does grant the Los Angeles
County Flood Control District permission to occupy and use the public streets
of the City of Santa Monica to operate and maintain the storm drain installa-
tions described in the "Specifications for the Construction of Project
N0. 7451 Santa Monica, Unit 4, Lines Hand J, 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue,
in the Ci ty of Santa ~1oni ca, Cali forni a. II
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
