RESOLUTION NO. 5304(CC5)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA COMMENDING DAVID E. HOUTZ FOR HIS DEDICATED AND
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, DAVID E. HOUTZ has served the Santa Monica Unlfled
School Dlstrict and the Santa Monica Communlty College District for twelve
years between 1967 and 1979, and
WHEREAS, during that perlod of time he has devoted much time and
energy to the well-belng of the students of Santa MOlllca College and the
Santa Monica Unlfied School Dlstrict, and
WHEREAS, DAVID E. HOUTZ served as Chairman of the College Board
III 1976 and 1977 and Vlce Chairman III 1975;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Clty Council of Santa Monica does resolve as
follows:
That DAVID E. HOUTZ is hereby commended for his long years of
falthful and dedicated servlce to the students of the City of Santa Monica;
That the City Counell of the City of Santa Monlca, on behalf of
ltself and on behalf of the cltlzens of thlS communlty, expresses ltS profound
appreclation to DAVID E. HOUTZ for hlS long and dedicated service;
That the Clty Clerk is directed to send a certifled copy of thlS
resolution to DAVID E. HOUTZ, and
That the Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution
and thenceforth and thereafter the sarne shall be In full force and effect.
