A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA COMMENDING JOHN T. NOONAN FOR HIS DEDICATED AND
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF St\NTA MONICA.
l~EREAS, JOHN T. NOONAN has served the Santa Mon1ca Unif1ed
School D1str1ct and the santa Mon1ca Commun1ty college Distr1ct for th1rteen
years between 1966 and 1979, and
WHEREAS, dur1ng that per10d of t1me he has devoted much time and
energy to the well-be1ng of the students of Santa Mon1ca College and the
Santa Monica Un1fied School D1strict, and
WHEREAS, JOHN T. NOONAN served as Cha1rntan of Santa Mon1ca College
Board of Trustees 1n 1974 and V1ce Chairman 1n 1973;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Santa Monica does resolve as
follows:
That JOHN T. NOONAN 1S hereby commended for h1s long years of
fa1thful and ded1cated serv1ce to the students of the City of Santa Mon1ca;
That the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on behalf of
itself and on behalf of the cit1zens of th1s community, expresses 1ts profound
apprec1ation to JOHN T. NOONAN for h1s long and ded1cated serv1ce;
That the C1ty Clerk 1S d1rected to send a certif1ed copy of this
resolut10n to JOHN T. NOONAN, and
That the C1ty Clerk shall cert1fy to the adoption of this resolution
and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 8th day of May 1979.
