RESOLUTION NO. 5310(CC5)
CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLANTING OF TREES ALONG
SANTA MONICA BLVD. BETWEEN ELEVENTH ST. AND
FOURTEENTH ST , IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION 5277 (CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
WHEREAS, the City Councll of the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca,
on the 10th day of April, 1979, passed and adopted its Resolution
of Intentlon, being Resolut1on No.5277 (City Counc1l Serles), to
order the work described therein to be done, which in accordance
with sa1d Resolution of Intention duly and legally notlces were
posted along the line of the proposed proJect and written notices
of said improvement have been given 1n the manner required by law
and any and all written objections and protests to the work or the
extent of the d1strict to be assessed were heard and considered by
the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public lnterest requires, and the
City Counc1l of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the tree
planting described in said Resolution of Intention to be done along
Santa Monlca Blvd. between Eleventh St. and Fourteenth St. w1thin
the City of Santa Monlca. That all of said protests and objections
of every kind and nature to the proposed work or to the extent of
the distrlct to be assessed be and the same hereby are overruled
and denied.

SECTION 2. That Street Superintendent hereby is
directed to commence the tree planting above descrlbed after a
60-day period wherever the property owners have not started the
tree planting proJect themselves.
Wherever said lmprovements were installed by the Street
Superintendent, he shall prepare a Report of Cost therefor, as
prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to said Reso1ution
of Intention for a map of the assessment district, and for further
particulars.
SECTION 4. The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption
of thlS resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
