A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF
THAT PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS ASHLAND AVENUE
FROM NEILSON WAY TO THE SOUTHWESTERLY LINE OF TRACT NO. 7425
IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICAt CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOllOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of all of that portion
of Ashland Avenue between Neilson Way and the Southwesterly line of
Tract No. 7425 in the City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angelest State
of Californiat as shown on the map recorded in Map Book 86t Pages 63-66,
in the Office of the Recorder of said County.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation and abandon-
ment of the hereinbefore mentioned street, reference is made respectively
to Map No. 4202, dated September 15, 1978t now on file in the offlce of the
City Clerk in the City Hall, Santa Monica, California.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica, in
vacating the above mentioned portion of Ashland Avenue, elects to proceed
under and in accordance with the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of
1941t" being Division 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
SECTION 3. That the hour of 7:30 olclock p.m. of the 24th day of
Octobert 1978, in the Council Chamber in the City Hallt Santa Monicat California,
be and the same hereby is fixed as the time and place when and where all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before
the City Council and offer evidence in relation thereto.

SECTION 4. That the Street Superintendent of the City of
Santa Monica hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street Vacation to be
posted as required by the Street Vacation Act of 1941. being Division 9.
Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code, and the City Council hereby elects
to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution of
Intention to be published twice in the Evening Outlook, a newspaper published
and circulated in the City of Santa Monica. The first of said publlcations
shall be not less than fifteen (15) days prior to October 24, 1978.
SECTION 6. That the Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
