RESOLUTION NO. 5102 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES
COUNTY TO APPROPRIATE CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX FUNDS TO THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA (C-87).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
ltlHEREAS, the 1978-79 County Budget Appropri at i on for II Aid to
Citiesll (Gasoline Tax) makes available for appropriation to the City of
Santa Monica a total amount of the One Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Five
Hundred Thirty Dollars ($132,530) for the improvement of City Streets of
General County interest; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is desirous of improving
certain streets on the City's Select System; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monlca believes that improving said
streets is of general County interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES FURTHER RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County
be requested to allocate One Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Five Hundred Thirty
Dollars ($132,530) from the County IIAid to Citiesll Fund apportioned to the
City of Santa Monica during the 1978-79 fiscal year, for the following
street repair improvements:
1. Ocean Park ~lvd. between 25th Street and Centlnela Avenue.
2. Fourth Street between the Freeway and San Vicente Boulevard.
3. Broadway between Fourth Street and Lincoln Blvd.
4. Twentieth Street between Washington Avenue and Olympic Blvd.
5. Santa Monica Blvd. between 20th Street and Cloverfield Blvd.

SECTION 2. That the Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
SECTION 3. That the City Engineer shall forward a certified
copy of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for
processing.
