A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING
AND RATIFYING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDER-
STANDING WITH SANTA MONICA LIBRARY NON-
PROFESSIONALS LOCAL 1634 AFSCME (AFL-CIO)
WHEREAS. Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 lCeS) of
the City of Santa Monica requires the preparation of a
written memorandum of understanding between the administration
and recognized employee organizations. if an agreement can be
reached; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 leeS) of the
City of Santa Monica further provides that any such memorandum
of understanding shall not be binding unless or until be presented
to the governing body for determinations and approved,
NOW, THEREfORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The City Council does hereby approve,
and authorize the City Manager to execute. that certain memorandum
of understanding be~/een the City of Santa Monica and the repre-
sentatives of the Santa Monlca Library Non-Professionals Local 1634
AFSCME (AFL-CIO), a copy of which is attached hereto.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
