RESOLUTION NO. 5136

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING AND
RATIFYING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AND
SANTA MONICA INDIVIDUAL CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, Section 2106 of Ordinance 801 (CCS1 of the City of
Santa Monica requires the preparation of a written Memorandum of
Understanding between the adm1nistration and recognized employee
organizations. if an agreement can be reached; and
WHEREAS. Section 2106 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of the City of
Santa Monica further provides that any such Memorandum of Understanding
shall not be binding and shall be presented to the governing body for
ratification.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby approve, and authorize
the City Manager to execute that certain Memorandum of Understanding between
the City of Santa Monica and the representatives of the Santa Monica Individual
Confidential Employees, which is attached hereto.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full force
and effect.
