A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING
AND RATIFYING A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AND STATEWIDE EMPLOYEES
ASSOCIATION (SEA).
WHEREAS, Section 2106 of Ordinance 801(CCS) of the C~ty
of Santa Mon~ca requires the preparation of a wrItten Memorandum
of Understanding between the administration and recognized employee
organlzations, If an agreement can be reached; and
WHEREAS, Section 2106 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of the City
of Santa Monlca further provides that any such Memorandum of Under-
standlng shall not be binding and shall be presented to the govern-
ing body for ratlf~catlon.
NOW, THEREFORE, the CIty CounCIl of the City of Santa
Monica does resolve as follows'
SECTION 1. The C~ty Councl1 does hereby approve, and
authorize the City Manager to execute that certaIn Memorandum of
UnderstandIng between the City of Santa Monica and the representatlves
of the Statewide Employees Assoclatlon, which is attached hereto.
SECTION 2. The City CounCIl does hereby determlne that the
PERS contrlbut~on5 speclfled In the salary clause of sald Memorandum
of Understanding are acceptable and shall be made.
SECTION 3. The CIty Clerk shall certIfy to the adoptlon
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
