A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE AMOUNT OF BASE RENTAL
PAYABLE BY SAID CITY UNDER THE LEASE
AGREEMENT DATED AS OF DECEMBER 1, 1978,
BY AND BETWEEN SAID CITY &~D THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA l'10NICA

WHEREAS, by Ord1nance adopted on August lO, 1976,
this City Council has heretofore approved that certaln
Lease Agreement ent~tled "Lease Agreement", dated as of
December 1, 1978 (the "Lease Agreement"), provided that
the amount of base rental payable by the C1ty thereunder
shall not exceed $1,600,000 per annum; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Santa Monica (the "Agency") has adopted its reso1ut1on
f1x1ng the amount of base rental payable under the Lease
Agreement at $ 1,189,705.00
per annum;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the C1ty of
Santa Monlca DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
as follows:
Sect~on 1. This City Council hereby concurs with
the determination of the Agency and approves the amount of
base rental set forth in the recitals hereof, to be inserted
1n the Lease Agreement.

Section 2. The Mayor is authorized ~ di~ted

to execute sa~d Lease Agreement and the C~ty Clerk is
authorized and directed to attest thereto and to afflx
the off1clal seal of the C1ty thereto and to cause sa1d
Lease Agreement, follow1ng execution by the Agency, to
be recorded with the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of
November, 1978.
