A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF A CERTAIN ALLEY KNOWN AS WILSHIRE PLACE NORTH
FROM TWENTIETH STREET TO TWENTIETH COURT IN THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICAs CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of all of that portion
of Wilshire Place North between Twentieth Street and Twentieth Court
as shown on the map of Green Acres Block 7 as recorded in Map Book 9s
Page 126s in the City of Santa Monicas County of Los Angeles, State of
California.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacations reference
is made to Map No. 4206s dated November lSs 1978s now on file in the
office of the City Clerk in the City Hall, Santa Monica, California.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monicas in
vacating said portion of Wilshire Place North hereby intends to make said
vacation condltional on the relocation of all sanitary sewers, water mains,
and other utilities now located within said alley.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica
further stipulates that the vacating of said portion of Wilshire Place North
is dependent on the dedicatlon of property and the construction of a new
Wilshire Place North as indicated on said Map No. 4206.

SECTION 4. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica, in
vacating the above mentioned portion of Wilshire Place North elects to
proceed under and in accordance with the provisions of the t1Street Vacation

Act of 1941," being Division 9s Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That the hour of 7:30 olclock p.m. of the 9th day
of Januarys 1979, in the Council Chamber 1n the City Halls Santa Monicas
Californias be and the same hereby is fixed as the time and place when
and where all persons 1nterested in or objecting to the proposed vacation
may appear before the City Council and offer evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 6. That the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa
Monica hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street Vacation to be posted
as required by the Street Vacation Act of 1941, being Division 9s Part 3
of the Streets and Highways Codes and the City Council hereby elects to
proceed under the provisions of said act.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution of Intention and shall cause the same to be published twice in
the Evening Outlook, a newspaper published and circulated in the City of
Santa Monicas the first of said publications shall be not less than fifteen
(15) days prior to January 9s 1978.
SECTION 8. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
