RESOLUTION NO. 5311(CC5)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SA~TA
HONICA APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 1979-1980, AS M1ENDED
WHEREAS, the proposed budget for the fiscal year
1979-1980 was submItted to the CIty CouncIl thirty-fIve (35)
days prior to July 1, 1979; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearIng on
said budget after a notice of saId hearing was publIshed not
less than ten (10) days prIor thereto; and
WHEREAS, after saId publIC hearing, the CIty Council
conSIdered further its proposed budget;
~OW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MOXICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the budget for the fiscal year 1979-
1980 as submitted by the CIty Hanager, Charles K. McClaIn, and
revised by the City Council which budget is entitled "Annual
Budget, CIt.y of Santa Monica, FIscal Year 1979-1980 submItted
by Charles K. McClain, City Manager," a copy of KhICh budget is
attached hereto, be and the same is hereby approved and adopted;
provided, however, that each departmental budget IS hereby
approved and adopted by the adoption of the total departmental
recapitulatIons which Include amounts for salaries and wages,
supplies and expense and capItal out.lays.

SECTION 2. That a certIfied copy of saId budget be
flIed with the DIrector of Finance-CIty Controller and wIth
the CIty Clerk and certified copies of said budget be reproduced
and made avaIlable for use as directed by SectIon 1505 of the
Charter of said City.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptIon
of th1s resolutIon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
