RESOLUTION NO. 70l6(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH
THE MANAGEMENT TEAM ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the Clty admln1stration and representat1ves of the
Management Team Assoclates have met and conferred under the terms
of OrdInance No. 80'1 (CCS) and have reached agreement on wages
and other terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, Sectlon 2.0'6 of Ord1nance No. 80'1 (CCS) of the
CIty of Santa Monlca requIres preparat10n of a wrItten memorandum
of understandlng between the admlnlstratlon and employees if an
agreement can be reached; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.0'6 of Ordlnance No. 80'1 (CCS) further
provides that any such memorandum of understandIng shall not be
b1nding unless and until presented to the governIng body for
determInation; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of thIS memorandum of understanding lS
to promote and prOVIde harmonlous relat1ons, cooperatIon and
understand1ng between the Clty and the Management Team
ASSOCIates;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SectIon 1: The Clty Council of the City of Santa Monlca
aoes hereby approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the
Memorandum of Understandlng executed by the Management Team
Associates, a copy of WhlCh 1S attached hereto.

Sectlon 2: The Clty Clerk shall cert1fy to the adoptlon of
thls Resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
ln full force and effect.
