A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA APPROPRIATING FISCAL YEAR
1984-85 FUNDS TO GANN RESERVE ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, under the prov~sions of ArtJ.cle XIIIB of the
State Constitution, a city is authorJ.zed to appropriate to a Gann
reserve account the difference between actual spend~ng subJect to
the Gann Appropr~ations Limit and the C1ty'S Gann Appropr1ations
Lim1t for that f1scal year: and
WHEREAS, apprapn.a ting available funds to Gann reserve
accounts ~s in the publ1c interest because establ~shment of Gann
reserve accounts 1ncreases the ab111ty of the City Counc~l to
respond to the service needs of the citizens of the City of Santa
Manl.ca,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1- All F~scal Year 1984-85 General Fund and
Recreation and Parks Fac~lJ.t1es Fund approprJ.at~ons and revenue
estimates, exclusJ.ve of Federal or State grant appropriations and

revenue est~mates, shall be adJusted to actuals as determined by
the City's annual fInanc~al audit as set forth 1n the C1ty'S
Fiscal Year 1984-85 Comprehensive Annual F~nancial Report, and
the d~fference between the lesser of $7,598,630 or actual
expenditures and encumbrances sUbJect to 11.mitation as determined
by the City's annual financlal audlt as set forth in the Clty'S
Fl.scal Year 1984-85 Comprehensl.ve Annual Financial Report for
these Funds and the City's F~scal Year 1984-85 Gann
Appropr~ations LJ..mJ..t, to the extent funds are available, is
hereby appropriated to reserve accounts in these respectl.ve
Funds.
SECTION 2. The Cl.ty Clerk shall cert1.fy to the
adopt1.on of th 1. S Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in fu 11 force and effect.
