A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING AND INSTRUCTING THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO GIVE NOTICE TO PROPERTY
OWNERS TO RESURFACE OZONE PLACE NORTH FROM LINCOLN
BOULEVARD TO HIGHLAND AVENUE
WHEREAS, there is a need to resurface Ozone Place north
from LIncoln Boulevard to H1ghland Avenue 1n the City of Santa
MonIca; and
WHEREAS, 1n accordance WIth Section 5870 et seq. of the
Streets and Highways Code procedures eXIst to notIfy property
owners of the1r duty to resurface the alley or cause to be
resurfaced the alley and to d1rect the SuperIntendent of Streets
to resurface the alley If not resurfaced or caused to be
resurfaced by the property owners; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa MonIca
on Its own motIon may order the resurfacing of the alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 5875 of the Streets and
HIghways Cod e , the City CouncIl of the City of Santa MonIca
orders the resurfacing of Ozone Place north from L1ncoln
Boulevard to Highland Avenue.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to the Sect10n 5876 of the Streets
and Highways Code, the SuperIntendent of Streets shall notIfy, In
the manper required by law, the owners of property on Ozone Place
North from Lincoln Boulevard to H1ghland Avenue to resurface or

cause to be resurfaced the alley. The notIce shall contaIn the
information requIred by SectIon 5879 of the Streets and HIghways
Code and shall also specIfy the day, hour and place, as set forth
in SectIon 3 of thIS ResolutIon, where the CIty Council of the
CIty of Santa will hear and pass upon obJectIons or protests, If
any, WhICh may be raIsed by property owners or other Interested
persons.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to Section 5878.1 of the
Streets and HIghways Code, the City CouncIl of the City of Santa
Monica does hereby order and declare that on the 23rd day of
July, 1985, at 7:30 P.M. in the CouncIl Chambers of City Hall, it
wIll hear and pass upon obJectIons or protests, If any, WhICh may
be raised by any property owners or other Interested persons.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certIfy to the
adoptIon of thIS ResolutIon and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be 1 n fu 11 force and effect.
