RESOLUTION NO. 7053(CCS)

A RESOLUT ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN'FA MONICA DEC LARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY
KNOWN AS EUCLID COURT, BETWEEN THE RAILROAD
PROPERTY AND OLYMPIC BOULEVARD, IN THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN'tA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Resolution Number 7012 is hereby repealed
SECTIOl'J 2. The Clty CouncIl of the CIty of Santa Monica
hereby declares 1ts intention to order the vacatIon of all of
that portIon of EuclId Court from a point 410 feet northwesterly
of Olympic Blvd. to a point 599.77 feet northwesterly .of OlympIC
Blvd., as snown on the map of the Towner Terrace Tract, In the
CIty of Santa MonIca, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
recorded in Book 8, Page 25 in the offIce of the Recorder of said
County.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of
the here1nbefore mentIoned area, reference IS made respectively
to DraWIng No. 4314, dated March 18, 1985, now on fIle in the
offIce of the City Clerk In the City Hall, Santa Mon1ca,
CalIfornia.
SECTION 3. The CIty CouncIl of the CIty of Santa
MonIca, In vacatIng said portIon of saId EuclId Court, intends to

reserve and except from said vacation an easement of full wIdth
over the full length of sa1d portion of sald Court lntended to be
vacated, for the purpose of constructlng, malntain1ng, operatIng,
replaCIng, remOVIng and renewlng all sanItary sewers, storm
drains, water maIns and other publIC utillty facllltles and
appurtenant structures. The reservations and exceptIons are
descrIbed In Drawing No. 43l4. The CIty Council of the Ci ty of
Santa Monica f 1 nd s that the pUblic convenlence and necessity
require such reservatIon.
SECTION 4. The Clty Council of the City of Santa
Monlca, In vacatlng the above mentIoned portIon of Euclid Court
elects to proceed under and 1n accordance with the provisions ot
the Public Streets, HIghways and Service Easements VacatIon Law,
Streets and H1ghways Code SectIon 8300 et seq.
SECTION 5. The hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. of the
13th day of August , 1985, in the Council Chamber in
the Clty Hall, Santa Monica, Callfornla, be and the same hereby
is fixed as the tIme and place when and where all persons
Interested in or obJectlng to the proposed vacatlon may appear
before the CIty Councll and offer evidence ln relation thereto.
SECTION 6. The Street Superintendent of the Clty of
Santa Monlca hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street
Vacation to be posted as required by Streets and Hlghways Code
SectIon 8323.
SECTION 7. The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolut1on of IntentIon and shall cause the same to be

published in accordance wIth Street and Hlghways Code Sectlon
8322.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon
of this resolutIon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be ln full force and effect.
