A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA TRANSFERRING PROPERTY
OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY
WHEREAS, the Park1.ng Authorlty of the Clty of Santa
MonIca 1S the owner of certa1r'l real property located at 1527
Fourth Street In the City of Santa Honlca; and
WHEREAS, gIven thE" locatIon of such property 1t 15 not
economlC to use such property solely for parkIng purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa MonIca has applIed to the-
Callfornla Department of 1\.g1.ng for fundIng under the
CalIfornla Senl.or Center Bond Act for the development of a
multl-servlce center on such property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Streets and HIghways Code SectIon
32667, the leglslatlve body by two-thlrds vote may adopt a
resolutlon transferrIng property of the ParkIng Authorlty to
the CIty; and
WHEREAS, the transfer of such property does not
contravene any covenant or agreement made with the holders of
any bonds of the Parking Authorlty of the CIty of Santa MonIca
lssued and outstandIng,
NOW} THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONJC~ DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Upon the approval of the applIcatIon for the
multI-servIce center by the CalIfornIa Department of Aging}
the property located at 1527 Fourth Street In the CIty of
Santa Monica shall be transferred from the ParkIng AuthorIty
of the CIty of Santa MonIca to the CIty of Santa MonIca.
SECTION 2. The CIty Clerk shall certIfy to the adoption
of thIS ResolutIon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be In full force and effect.
