A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER
SB 821
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 2% of each County's total
Local Transportatlon Fund be annually set aside and used to fund
the development of bicycle and pedestrian faCllltles; and
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monica has planned a blkeway
system in conformance wlth speclfications of Caltrans Plannll1g
and Deslgn Criteria for Bikeways in California and the Regional
Transportatlon plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica desires to improve
bicycle and pedestrlan facllitles withln the C1ty utlhZlng the
funds avallable under S8 821.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. To apply for all funds avallable to the City of
Santa Moolca allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrlan facilltles
(3B821).
SECTION 2. To authorlze the City Manager as the City's
authorized Slgnature and deslgnated contact person.

SECTION 3. THe Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of
thls resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
