A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANrA MONICA APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM
AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR EUCLID STREET
BETWEEN BRENTWOOD TERRACE AND MARGUERITA
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica, pursuant to Sectlon
5100 et seq. of the Streets and Hlghways Code, commenced
proceedlngs to construct street lighting and appurtenant work on
Euclld Street between Brentwood Terrace and Marguerlta.
WHEREAS, the proceeding is more fully descrLbed in the
ResolutLon of Intentlon adopted by the City council on September
11, 19B4, belng Resolutlon Number 6915 (CCS) ; and
WHEREAS, the contract for the above descrlbed work has
been fulfllled to the satisfaction of the Superintendent of
Streets; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets has made an
assessment to cover the sum due for the worK performed and
speclfled in the contract; and
WHEREAS, the assessment has been filed wlth the City
ClerK; and
WHEREAS, the Clty Clerk gave the notlce required by
Section 5362 and 5363 of the Streets and Hlghways Code. and

WHEREAS, upon the day and hour fixed for hearlng by the
Clty Clerk, the CIty Cauncll of the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca heard
and passed upon any and all obJections, appeals, and protests,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. That all Ob)ectlons, appeals, and protests
of every kind and nature be the same are hereby overruled and
den1ed.
SEC'rION 2. That the diagram of property affected and
benef1ted by the constructlon of a high-pressure sodium street
light1ng system and appurtenant work on Euclid Steet between
Brentwood Terrace and Marguer1ta, all ln the CIty of Santa
Monlca, as more fully described 1n Resolution Number 6915 (CCS)
and therein declared to be the property to be assessed to pay the
expense of the Improvements, it approved and the CIty Clerk is
directed to eXecute tbe cert1flcate on the d1agram to the
SuperIntendent of Streets.
SECTION 3. That the assessment for the construction of
a h1gh-pressure sodium street lighting system and appurtenant
work on EuclId Street between Brentwood Terrace and Marguerita,
as more fully described in Resolution Number 6915 (CCS), be the
same hereby is confirmed and approved.
SECTION 4. That the SuperIntendent of Streets shall
forthwith attach a warrant to saId assessment bearing the date of
this confirmat1on.

SECTION 5. The assessment roll, warrant and diagram
shall be recorded in the office of the Superintendent of Streets,
and 1mmed1ately thereafter the Clty Clerk shall file a copy of
the assessment d1agram in the off1ce of County Recorder, and
thereafter shall record 1n sald Office of the County Recorder, a
Notlce of Assessment, all in the manner and form as prescribed by
Sect10n 3114 of the Streets and H1ghways Code of the State of
Ca1ifornla.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
