RESOLUTION NO. 7105 (CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLANTING OF TREES
ALONG BROADWAY BETWEEN 4TH AND 17TH STREETS
ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on
the first day of October, 1985, adopted Resolution No. 7096 (CCS)
sett~ng a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, written not~ces of sa~d improvement have been given
in the manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, any and all written obJections and protests to the
work or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard and
considered by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The public convenience and necessity require the
planting of trees along Broadway betwe en 4th Street and 17th
Street, all within the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. All protests and objections of every kind and
nat ure to the planting of trees along Br oadway between 4th and
17th Streets, all with the City of Santa Monica, be and the same
are hereby overruled and denied.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to Streets and Highways Code
Section 5880, the Street Superintendent is directed to commence

planting of trees above described if the planting is not
commenced and prosecuted to complet~on with due diligence by any
property as required by Streets and Highways Code Section 5879.
SECTION 4. The City Cl e r k shall cert~fy to the adoption of
this resol ution and thenceforth and thereafter thesame shall be
in full force and effect.
