RESOLUTION NO. 7131 (CCS}
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADOPTING A URBAN
WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, California Water Code Sections 10610 through
10656, effective January I, 1984, known as the Urban Water
Management Planning Act, requires each urban water suppl ier to
prepare an Urban Water Management Plan, hold a public hearing on
the plan, and adopt the plan no later than December 31, 1985: and
WHEREAS , the city of Santa Monica is an Urban Water
Supplier as defined by the Urban Water Management Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica has prepared an
Urban water Management plan: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Santa
Monica, on the 26th day of November, 1985 passed and adopted a
resolution setting a Public Hearing, being Resolution No.
7121 (CCS), to hear protests, objections and comments on the Urban
Water Management Plan for Santa Monica as prepared by the
Director of General Services: and
WHEREAS, notice of the public hearing was duly and
legally pUbliShed as required by law: and

WHEREAS 1 a public hearing has been held and all
comments to the Urban water Management Plan for Santa Monica have
been considered,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Urban Water Management Plan for the
city of Santa Monica prepared by the Director of General Services
is approved and adopted.
SECTION 2. The Director of General Services is
directed to file a copy of the Urban Water Management Plan for
Santa Monica with the State Department of Water Resources within
30 days of adoption.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ReSOlution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
