RESOLUTION NO. 7l47(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF 'rHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR FEBRUARY 25, 1986; TO HEAR
ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE
CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR GUTTER
INSTALLATION AND STREET RESURFACING ON
VARIOUS CITY STREETS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Super1ntendent of Streets wIll
f~le a report of work pursuant to Section 5882 of the Streets and
Highways code of the State of CalIfornIa, relating to the
construction of certIan Improvements completed on:
Michigan
Avenue from Clover fIeld to the easterly end, Broadway from 17th
Street to CloverfIeld, Nebraska from Stewart Street to Centine1a
Avenue, CommerCIal/IndustrIal Portions of: 32nd Street from Pico
Boulevard to Ocean Park Boulevard, 33rd Street from Pico
Boulevard to Ocean Park Boulevard, 18th Street from WIlshire
Boulevard to Montana Avenue, all wIthIn the CIty of Santa MonIca.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to SectIon 5870 et seq. of
said code, the City CounCIl does hereby order and declare that On
the 25th of February, 1986, at 7:30 p.m., 1n the Council Chambers
of CIty Hall, It WIll hear and pass upon the report by the
Superintendent of Streets, of the cost of constructIon together
wIth any obJectIons or protests, If any, WhICh may be raised by
any property owner liable to be assessed for the cost of such
constructIon and any other Interested persons.

SECTION ~ That all protests or ob4t:tlons must be in
writlng and flIed with the City Clerk on or before the time set
for hearing of protests and obJectlons.
SECTION 4.
The Super intendent of Streets is hereby
directed to mail notlces, in the manner and form prescrlbed by
law, of the cost of constructIon and of the adoption of thIS
Resolution to all persons owning commerclal or Industrial real
property in the hereinbefore described assessment distrIct whose
names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll
for the City taxes or as known to the CIty Clerk.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter, the
same shall be In full force and effect.
