A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID PROCEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT
NEGOTIATION FOR PURCHASE OF REHABiLITATION SERVICES FOI~
ELEVEN BUSES.
WHEREAS> the City of Santa Honlca has a requireMent for
bus rehabil1tation serv1ces~ and
WHEREAS. thlS need has been forMally bld prevlously and the
resulting sucessful bldder has defaulted on a contract awarded
by the Clty Councilj and
WHEREAS. the Clty needs these elven buses to be rehab1litated
prior to the 1984 OlYMpics~ and
WHEREAS. lnforMal b1dding has been perforMed on this need.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. ForMal bldding 1S hereby walved for the
purchase bus rehabll1tation serV1ces for eleven buses.
SECTION 2. That further bld sollcation would be of no avall
and cause unnecessary expense and delay.
SECTION J. The Clty Manager 15 hereby authorlzed to
excute a purchase agreeMent for the Clty'S needs for rehabllitatlon
of eleven buses wlth EnvlronMental EquipMent Corporatlon. Oakland
Callfornla for an aMount not to exceed $ 1,010>963.75. plus
contingencles.
SECTION 4. The Clty clerk shall certlfy tu the adoptlon of
thlS Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the saMe shall be
1n full force and effect.
