A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA CERTIFYING
THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ON
AIRPORT LAYOUT CONCEPT PLAN AND NOISE MITIGATION
PROGRAM FOR SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, a draft A1rport Layout Concept Plan was prepared in
August 1983 and publ1shed 1n September 1983; and
WHEREAS, an In1 t1al Study was prepared on the proposed
project in August 1983; and
WHEREAS, a Notlce of Preparat10n of an Envlronmental Impact
Report was 1ssued 1D August 1983; and
WHEREAS, Notlce of Complet10n of a Draft Environmental
Impact Report was publlshed In October 1983, 1n compl1ance with
the Callfornla Environmental Qual1ty Act; and
WHEREAS, a public reVlew per10d exp1red 1n November 1983;
and
WHEREAS, 1n November 1983, the completlon of the F1nal
EnvHonmental Impact Report on the proposed proJect, cons1st1ng
of the Draft Environmental Impact Report, comments on the
document, and responses to comments was cert1fied; and

WHEREAS, on November 15, 1983, the C1ty Counc1l conducted a
publ1Cly not1ced hearing on the Final Env1ronmental Impact
Report.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The C1ty Counc11 of the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca
does hereby cert1fy that the Final Env1ronmenta1 Impact report on
the proposed A1rport Layout Concept Plan and N01se M1t1gat1on
Program has been completed 1n full compliance w1th the Cal1fornia
Environmental Qual1ty Act, the State Environmental Impact Report
GU1del1nes, and the City of Santa Monica CEQA GU1del1nes, and
that 1t has rev1ewed and considered the contents of the F1nal EIR
1n 1ts decis1on-making process.
SECTION 2. The C1 ty Clerk shall certify to the adopt1on of
th1S Reso1ut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
1n full force and effect.
