A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A DATE TO HEAR ANY
PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE CONFIRMATION OF
ASSESSMENTS FOR GUTTER INSTALLATION AND
STREET RESURFACING ON SECOND STREET BETWEEN
BROADWAY AND WILSHIRE AND 16TH STREET BETWEEN
COLORADO AND 50' FEET SOUTH OF SOUTHERN
PACIFIC RAILROAD, ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Super1ntendent of Streets will
flle a report of work pursuant to Section 5882 of the Streets and
Hlghways Code of the State of Cal1fornia, relat1ng to the
construct1on of certain 1mprovements completed along Second
Street between Broadway and Wllshlre and 16th Street between
Colorado and 50' south of Southern Pacific Railroad, all with1n
the City of Santa Mon1ca.
Sect10n 2.
T~at pursuant to Sect10n 5870 et seq. of
sa1d Code, the City Council does hereby order and declare that on
the 10th day of January. 1984, at 7:30 P.M., 1n the Counc11
Chambers of the C1ty Hall, 1t wlll hear and pass upon the report
by the Superlntendent of Streets, of the cost of construct1on
together w1th any obJect1ons or protests, 1f any, which may be
ralsed by any of the property owners llable to be assessed for
the cost of such construct10n and any other 1nterested persons.
Sect10n 3. That all protests or ObJect1ons must be 1n
wr1t1ng and filed with the C1ty Clerk on or before the time set
for hear1ng of protests and object1ons.

Sectlon 4.
The Super1ntendent of Streets lS hereby
d1rected to mall notices, in the manner and form prescrlbed by
law, of the cost of construct1on and of the adoption of thlS
resolutlon to all persons owing real property in the hereinbefore
descrlbed assessment distrlct whose names and addresses appear on
the last equal1zed assessment roll for City taxes or as known to
the Cay Clerk.
Sectlon 5.
The Clty Clerk shall cert1fy to the
adoptlon of this resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter, the
same shall be ln full force and effect.
