A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A DATE TO HEAR ANY
PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE CONFIRMATION OF
ASSESSMENTS FOR GUTTER INSTALLATION AND
STREET RESURFACING ON SECOND STREET BETWEEN
BROADWAY AND WILSHIRE AND 16TH STREET BETWEEN
COLORADO AND 50 FEET SOUTH OF SOUTHERN
PACIFIC RAILROAD. ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECT I ON 1.
That the Superlntendent of Streets will
fl1e a report of work pursuant to Sectlon 5882 of the Streets and
Hlghways Code of the State of California, relatlng to the
constructlon of certain 1mprovements completed along Second
Street between Broadway and Wl1shlre and 16th Street between
Colorado and 50' south of Southern Pacific Railroad. all wlthln
the City of Santa Monlca.
Section 2.
That pursuant to Section 5870 et seq. of
sa1d Code, the City Councll does hereby order and declare that on
the 14th of February. 1984, at 7:30 P.M.. 1n the Council Chambers
of the Clty Hall, lt will hear and pass upon the report by the
Superlntendent of Streets. of the cost of construction together
with any objectlons or protests, If any. which may be raised by
any of the property owners liable to be assessed for the cost of
such construction and any other interested persons.
Sectlon 3. That all protests or obJectlons must be in
writ1ng and fl1ed with the City Clerk on or before the time set
for hearlng of protests and objectlons.

Sect10n 4.
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby
directed to mail notlces. in the manner and form prescribed by
law, of the cost of constructlon and of the adopt10n of this
resolution to all persons oWlng real property in the hereinbefore
descrlbed assessment district whose names and addresses appear on
the last equalized assessment roll for City taxes or as known to
the City Clerk.
Sectlon 5.
The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adopt10n of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter, the
same shall be 1n full force and effect.
