A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING
APRIL 23 THROUGH APRIL 29, 1984
AS CONSUMERS WEEK
WHEREAS, Apr~l 23 through Apr~l 29, 1984 has been
declared NatIonal Consumers Week; and
WHEREAS, Natlonal Consumers Week wlll focus on
consumer needs and serVlces recognlzlng that well-Informed
consumers mean business thereby creating sound marketplace
relat~onships and strong economic growth; and
WHEREAS, Nat10nal Consumers Week w1ll use as ~ts
slogan "Consumers Mean Business,.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. April 23 through April 29, 1984 is
declared to be Consumers Week ~n the City of Santa
Mon1ca.
SECTION 2. The C1ty Counc1l supports continued
consumer education 10 a marketplace where options for
earn1ng, spending and 1nvest1ng are available.

SECTION 3. The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ResolutIon, and thenceforth and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
