RESOLUTION NO. 6858 (CCS)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A PROPOSAL AND THE
SIGNING OF A CONTRACT FOR PROVIDING SERVICES FOR
ELDERLY PERSONS,
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Senlor Cltizens
Affa1rs has been awarded the funds for prov1ding services for the elderly
under the Older Amer1cans Act;
WHEREAS, the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca wlshes to apply for Older
Amer1cans Act funds for soc1al serVlces 1n order to admin1ster said serV1ces; and
WHEREAS, 1 t 1 S necessary that the C1 ty of Santa rlomea approve
the submlttal of the proposal for Older Americans Act funds; and
WHEREAS, 1t 1S necessary that the C1ty of Santa Monlea designate
and authorlze a representat1ve to sign the contract for Older Americans
Act funds on behalf of the sald Clty of Santa Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, The Clty Counc1l of the City of Santa Mon1ca approves
the submlttal of a proposal for Older Americans Act funds,
SECTION 2, The Clty Counc1l of the City of Santa Monica des1gnates
the City tlanager or 1n his absence, the Asslstant C1ty Manager as the author1zed
representative to slgn the contract and all documents necessary to accompany
sald contract, including all amendments to sa1d contract wlthln the f1scal
year.
SECTION 3, The Clty Clerk shall cert1fy to the adopt1on of
thlS Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full
force and effect.
