RESOLUTION NO. 6945(CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING
PARKING STRUCTURE PERMIT FEES.
WHEREAS, the parking structure permit fees have not
been lncreased since January, 1981; and
WHEREAS, the operatlon and maintenance costs have
Increased; and
WHEREAS, the current parking rates are below the
average parking rates of simIlar facilities In the area; and
WHEREAS, "out-of-distrlct" users of the parkIng
structures are IndIvIduals whose busIness or-resIdential address
lS outside of the Downtown Business Parking Assessment District;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the ground floor permit fees for
the parklng structures shall be $45.00 per month and the upper
level permIt fee shall be $30.00 per month.
SECTION 2.
That "out-of-dlstrlct" users of the
parklng structures pay an addItional $10.00 per month per permIt.
SECTION 3. That the Cl ty Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of thIS resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
