A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA REPEALING
RESOLUTION NUMBER 6953 AND SETTING A DATE
TO HEAR ANY PROTESTS OROBJECTIONS TO THE
CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR GUTTER
INSTALLATION AND STREET RESURFACING ON
VARIOUS CITY STREETS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Resolution Number 6953 IS hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2. That the Superlntendent of Streets will
file a report of work pursuant to Section 5882 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of CallforJ"la, relatlng to the
construction of certain lmprovements completed along Colorado
betweeJ" 9th and 14th Streets, Marine between Llncoln and 150 feet
west of Llncoln, PIer between Lincoln and 160 feet west of
Lincoln, and PIer between MaIn and Nellson Way, all wlthln the
City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to Sectlon 5870 et seq.
of sald Code, the Clty Councll does hereby order and declare that
on the 26th of February, 1985, at 7:30 P.M. , in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, it wlll hear al"ld pass upon the report
by the Superlntendent of Streets, of the cost of construction
together wIth ar.y obJectlons or protests, If any, WhICh may be
raised by any of the property owners llable to be assessed for
the cost of such construct lor and any other interested persons.

SECTION 4. That all protests or obJectlons must be
in wrIting and f~led wlth the Clty Clerk on or before the tlme
set for hear 109 of protests and obJectlons.
SECTION 5. The SuperIntendent of streets IS hereby
dlrected to mall not lces , ln the manner and form prescrIbed by
law, of the cost of constructlon and of the adoption of this
resolutlon to all persons ownIng real property In the
herelnbefore descrlbed assessment dlstrict whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for City
taxes or as known to the Clty Clerk.
SECTION 6. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of this Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter, the
same shall be In full force and effect.
