A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CrTY OF SANTA
MONICA ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE GUTTERS
AND STREET RESURFACING ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS ALL
WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, the City Councll of the Clty of Santa Monlca, on
the 26th day of February, 1985, adopted Resolution No. 6979 (CCS)
settlng a public hearIng;
WHEREAS, written notices of saId improvements have been
gIven in the manner required by lawj and
WHEREAS, any and all wrltten obJectlons and protests to
the work or the extent of the distrIct to be assessed were heard
and considered by the City Councilj
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public convenience and necessity
requires the constructIon of concrete gutters and street
resurfacing along:
Michigan Avenue from Cloverfield to Easterly End
Broadway from 17th Street to 26th Street
Nebraska from Stewart Street to Centinela Avenue
Corr.mercial/lndustrial PortIons of:
32nd Street from Pico Boulevard to Ocean Park Boulevard
33rd Street from Pica Boulevard to Ocean Park Boulevard
18th Street from Wllshlre Boulevard to Montana Avenue

all within the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. That all protests and objections of every kind
and nature to the construction of concrete gutters and the street
resurfacing along:
Micragan Avenue from Cloverfield to Easterly End
Broadway from 17th Street to 26th Street
Nebraska frorr. Stewart Street to Centinela Avenue
Commercial/IndustrIal Portions of:
32nd Street from PICO Boulevard to Ocean Park Boulevard
33rd Street from Pico Boulevard to Ocean Park Boulevard
18th Street from Wilshire Boulevard to Montana Avenue
as described in Section 1 , all withIn the City of Santa Monica,
be and the sarr.e are hereby overruled and denIed.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to Streets and Highways Code
SectIon 5880, the Street SuperIntendent is directed to commence
the constructIon of concrete gutters and street resurfacIng above
descrIbed after a 60-day period wherever the property owners have
not started the gutter construction and street resurfacing
thell'selves.
SECTION 4. That the CIty Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
sall'e shall be In full force and effect.
