RESOLUTION NO. 7007(CCS)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF A PROPOSAL AND THE SIGNING OF
A CONTRACT FOR PROVIDING SERVICES FOR
ELDERLY PERSONS
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Senior
Citizens Affalrs has been awarded the funds for prov1.ding ser-
V1.ces for the elderly under the Older Americans Actr and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monlca w1.shes to apply for Older
Americans Act funds for soc1.al services in order to admlnister
sald servicesr and
WHEREAS, lt 1.S necessary that the City of Santa Monica ap-
prove the submlttal of the proposal for Older Amer1.cans Act
funds; and
WHEREAS, It is necessary that the Clty of Santa Monlca
designate and authorlze a representatlve to sign the contract for
Older Americans Act funds on behalf of the sald City of Santa
Monica,
NO\'l, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. The City Councll of the Clty of Santa Monica
approves the submlttal of a proposal for Older Americans Act
funds.
SECTION 2. The Clty Council of the Clty of Santa Monica
deslgnates the City Manager or in his absence, the Assistant City
Manager as the author1.zed representative to sign the contract a.nd
all documents necessary to accompany said contract, lncluding all

amendments to said contract w~thin the fiscal year.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cert~fy to the adoption of
this Resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
~n full force and effect.
