RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA CONFIRMING THAT
PROPOSED ALTERATIONS OF PARKING STRUCTURE
NUMBER 2 COMPLY WITH THE LEASE BETWEEN
THE CITY AND THE PARKING AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, on February 15, 1966, the Parking Authority of
the City of Santa Monica and the City of Santa Monica entered
into a Lease Agreement for the construction and lease of
public
off-street
parking
facilities includ~ng Parking
Structure Number 2 (hereinafter "Lease")~ and
WHEREAS, the Lease provides that the City shall have the
right to make any add~tions to or improvements of parking
facil~ties leased thereunder which do not ~mpair the utility
thereof as park~ng places, to attach fixtures, structures or
signs thereto, and to affix any personal property to the
improvements on the parcels leased~ and
WHEREAS, the proposed alterations of Parking Structure
Number 2 do not impair the ut~l~ty of the parking facility as
park~ng places and are needed to enhance security and promote
a healthy business env~ronment,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The proposed alteration of Parking Structure
Number 2 is needed to enhance secur~ty and promote a healthy
bus1ness enV1ronment.
SECT ION
2.
The
proposed alterat~ons of parking
Structure Number 2 comply with the terms and conditions of the
Lease.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of th~s Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
