A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
ESTABLISHING BONUS COMPENSATION FOR
ASSIGNMENT AS PARAMEDIC COORDINATOR
WHEREAS, the C1 ty Counc 11

Clty'S paramedlc program; and
recognizes the addit10nal
ass1gned to coord1nate the
WHEREAS, the F1re Chlef has requested a reasonable
compensatlon bonus for such aS51gnment; and
WHEREAS, funds for the bonus were approved 1n adoption of
the 1984-85 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: F1re personnel assigned responsib1l~ty for
coordination of the C1ty'S paramed1C program shall receive a flat
rate monthly bonus of $200.00 for each month so aSS1gned. Only
one ind1vldual shall receive the bonus at a tlme. Slnce
assignment as a paramedic coordlnator is rout1nely rotated,

reasslgnment and loss of the bonus shall not constltute a
demotlon.
This bonus shall not be conSldered part of the
paramedlc coord~nator's base or effectlve salary for purposes of
computing percentage pay increases or overtlme.
SECTION 2: The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adopt~on of
thlS Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
ln full force and effect.
