A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA CERTIFYING
THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ON
THE OCEAN PARK BEACH IMPROVEMENTS PLAN
WHEREAS, an InItIal Study was prepared on the Ocean Park
Beach Improvements Plan In February 1984; and
WHEREAS, a NotIce of PreparatIon of an Environmental Impact
Report was Issued in February 1984; and
WHEREAS, NotIce of CompletIon of a Draft Environmental
Impact Report was publlched In June, 1984, In compliance with the
CalIfornIa EnvIronmental QualIty Act and the CIty of Santa Mon1ca
CEQA Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, a publIC reVIew perIod expIred In July 1984; and
WHEREAS, In August 1984, the completion of the FInal
Environmental Impact Report on the proposed project, consisting
of the Draft EnvIronmental Impact Report, comments on the
document, and responses to comments was certIfIed; and
WHEREAS, on August 14, 1984, the CIty Council, as Lead CIty
Agency, and the Redevelopment Agency, as a ResponsIble Agency

conducted a publ1Cly not1ced hear 1ng on the Final Env1ronmental
Impact Report,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The C1ty Counc1l of the C1ty of Santa Monica
does hereby cert1fy that the F1nal Env1ronmental Impact Report on
the proposed Ocean Park Beach Improvements Plan has been
completed in full compl1ance with the Ca11forn1a Environmental
Qua11ty Act, the State EnvHonmental Impact Report Guidelines,
and the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca CEQA Guidelines, and that it has
rev1ewed and cons1dered the contents of the Flnal EIR in
determ1n1ng whether to approve the Ocean Park Beach Improvements
Plan.
SECTION 2. The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
th1S Resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
1n full force and effect.
