AJltchrnent F RESOLUTION NUMBER 6907(CCS) (Clty Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING THE PROVISION OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME REPLACEMENT HOUSING AND FINDING THAT SUCH EXPENDITURE WILL BE OF BENEFIT TO THE OCEAN PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT lea) WHEREAS, it is the pol1cy of this loca11ty to assure an ade- quate supply of standard hous1ng affordable to low and moderate 1ncorne persons and families; and WHEREAS, Ocean Park Redevelopment Project lea) (herelnafter "Project") has been established In the C1ty of Santa Monica; and WHEREAS, the Ocean Park Redevelopment Project caused the demolit1on of more than 700 un1ts of hous1ng; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the Clty of Santa Monl- ca seeks to lnvoke the provislon an Ocean Park Redevelopment Project Health and Safety Code Sectlon 33334.2 for the purpose of replacIng the supply of houslng demol1shed due to redevelopment actlvlty; an WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 33334.2 requires that the C1ty Counc1l concur wlth the Redevelopment Agency's f1nding that the use of the funds will be of benef1t to the re- development proJect area when the funds w1ll be expended outside the boundarIes of the redevelopment project area; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has determ1ned that replacing the supply of low and moderate lncome housIng avallable - 1 - . . at affordable costs outside of the project area will benefit the Ocean Park Redevelopment ProJect; and WHEREAS, on May 8, 1984 the Redevelopment Agency adopted Resolution Number 380 (RAS) establ1shing the Ocean Park Re- development Project l(a) Low and Moderate Income Hous1ng Trust Fund; and WHEREAS, on May 8, 1984 the City Council adopted Resolut1on Number 6855 (CCS) concurring in the establishment of such fund and finding that it 1S of benefit to the Project; and WHEREAS, on September 4, 1984 the Redevelopment Agency adop- ted Resolut1on Number 389 (RAS) allocating $104,490 to the Hous- ing Trust Fund, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Councll f1nds and determines that the Ocean Park Redevelopment ProJect l(a) will benefit by the es- tabl1shment of the Ocean Park l(a) Redevelopment ProJect Low an- dModerate Income Hous1ng Trust Fund 1n accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 33334.2. - 2 - . . SECTION 2. The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of th1s resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be ln full force and effect.
