RESOLUTION NO. 6925(CCS) (CITY COUNCIL SERIES) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA FINDING THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREET LIGHTING AND ORDERING WORK ON EUCLID STREET BETWEEN BRENTWOOD TERRACE AND MARGUERITA, ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION 6915 (CITY COUNCIL SERIES) WHEREAS, the Clty Councll of the Clty of Santa Monlca,on the 11 th day of September, 19B4, passed and adopted its Resolutlon of Intention, being Resolutlon No. 6915 (CCS), declarlng its intentlon to order the work described therein to be done, which sald Resolution of Intentlon duly and legally was publlShed as required by law and notlce of sald lmprovement has been given in the manner requlred by law and all written obJectlons and protests to the proposed work or the extent of the dlstrlct to be assessed were heard and considered by the City Council; and WHEREAS, a publlC hearing has been held duly and regularly pursuant to Resolution 6915 (CCS) and the laws and Constltutlon of the State of Californla on the proposed constructlon of street lightlng and appurtenant work thereto, as described ln the Resolution of Intention No. 6915 (CCS), on Euclid Street between Brentwood Terrance and Marguerita; and WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: '- . . SECTION 1. The public interest and convenience require, and the City Council of the Clty of Santa Monlca hereby orders, the work described ln said Resolution of Intentlon to be done on Eucl id between Brentwood Terrace and Margueri ta, all wi thin the City of Santa Monioa. Any and all of said protests and objectlons of every kind and nature to the proposed work or to the extent of the district to be assessed be and the same hereby are overruled and denied. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and determlnes further that the "Speclal Assessment Investigation, Llmi tatlon and Majority Protest Act of 1931" shall not apply to the making of said improvement. SECTION 3. The improvements shall be conducted under the Improvement Act of 1911, which lS D1Vlsion 7 of the Streets and Hlghways Code of the State of Californla, and the Street Superintendent and the City Attorney presented to the said City Council the Resolutlon of Intention required by said Improvement Act to initlate the proceedings for sald lmprovement. SECTION 4. The City Clerk hereby is dlrected to post a notlce for five days on or near the door of the Councll Chambers of the City Hall inviting sealed proposals or blds for dOlng the work ordered and referrlng to the specifications on file and to publlSh a notice lnviting such proposals for two days in the Evening Outlook, a newspaper publ ished and clrculated ln sald City. . . SECTION 5. Reference hereby 1S made to said Resolution of Intention for a description of the work, the assessment distr1ct, the bonds to be issued and for further part1culars. SECTION 6.
