A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA FINDING THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION OF
STREET LIGHTING AND ORDERING WORK 9TH, 12TH
AND PRINCETON STREETS BET~EEN wILSHIRE AND
SANTA MONICA BOULEVARDS; YALE AND HARVARD
STReE~S BETWEEN SANTA MONICA AND COLORADO
BOULEVARDS; HILL STREET BETWEEN 23RD AND 25TH
STREETS; 31ST STREET BETwEEN PEARL STREET AND
OCEAN PARK BOULEVARD; AND FRANKLIN STREET FROM
WILSHIRE BOULEVARD TO 855 FEET NORTH OF LIPTON
AVENUE r IN ACCORDANCE wITH RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION 7141 (CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
WHEREAS, the C1ty Counc11 of the City of Santa Monica,
on the 14th day of January, 1986, passed and adopted 1ts
Resolut~on of Intent~on, beIng Resolution No. 7141 (eeS),
declarIng Its 1ntentIon to order the work descrIbed therein to be
done, wh~ch sa~d Resol utlon of Intentlon duly and legally was
published as required by law and notIce of saId Improvement has
been g~ven In the manner requIred by law and all wrItten
obJect~ons and protests to the proposed work or the extent of the
d IstI:" ict to be assessed were heard and conSidered by the Ci ty
CounCIl: and
WHEREAS, a pUblic hearing has been held duly and
regularly pursuant to Resolution 7141 (CCS) and the laws and
ConstItution of the State of California on the proposed
constructIon of street llghtlng and appurtenant work thereto, as
descrIbed in the ResolutIon of Intent10n No. 7141 (CCS), on 9th,
12th and Princeton Streets between WilshIre and Santa Monica
Boulevards; Yale and Harvard Streets between Santa Monica and
Colorado Boulevards; Hill Street between 23rd and 25th Streets;

Council the Resolutlon of Intentlon required by sald Improvement
Act to 1nitiate the proceedings for said improvement.
SECTION 4. The Ci ty Clerk hereby IS directed to post a
notIce for five days on or near the door of the Councll Chambers
of the Clty Hall invlting sealed proposals or bids for dOlng the
work ordered and referrIng to the specIflcations on file and to
publ ish a notice lnv 1 ting such proposal s for two days in the
EvenIng Outlook, a newspaper pUblIshed and circulated in said
CIty.
SECTION 5. Reference hereby lS made to saId ResolutIon
of Intentlon for a descriptlon of the work, the assessment
dlstrict, the bonds to be issued and for further partlculars.
SECTION 6. The CIty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption
of thlS ReSOlution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
