WHEREAS, pursuant to Sectlon 4241 of the Santa ~onlca
MUD1Clpal Code, the Clt~' COUDCll may authorlze a parade route
dlf~erent from the offlclal Clty parade route set forth hereln,

3ECTIOX 1.
That on May 17, 1936, between the hours
of 9:30 a.w. and 12:00 noon, partlclpants ln the St. Monlca's
Ce~tennlal Ce1ebratlon may and are hereby authorlzed to conduct
a parade along the followlng route:
T~e parade wl11 start 1n Santa Monlca on Montana
F~en~e at 17th Street and proceed west to 7th Street,
sou~h to Callforn1a to the Church.
SECTIOK 2. PermlSSlon to conduct the parade 15 granted
upo~ the followlng concltlons:
A. Floats, bands, cars, and e~uestrlan UDlts wlll
not be b~ought to the staglng area on ~ontana
Avenue bet~een 17th & 20th Streets nrlor to 9:00

B. St. MODlca1s Church wlll provlde for
clean-up of any anlmal feces along the
parade route.
C. ?he Santa [lonlca Pollce Department wlll
?rovlde the necessary number of pollce
offlcers for crowd and trafflc control
along the parade route.
D. St. Monlca's Church wlll notlfy by ~all
all resldents two blocks north and south of
Montana Avenue fron 20th Street to 7th Street,
aJG two blocks east and west of 7th Street from
Montana Avenue to Callfornla Avenue of the
streets closure.
E. St. MODlca's Church wlll assume responslblllty
=or payment of all fees and expenses generated
l~ relatlon to thlS alternate parade route,
lncludlng, but not Ilnlted to Pollce Qfflcers for
trafflc control, Parklng & Traf=lc Englneerlng
slgnage and meters, Street Sweepers, and malllng
costs for notlflcatlon of resldents for street
closure.
St. Monlca's Cnurch wlll take all 90ss1ble
steps to abate nOlse.
