A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA A!1ENDING
RESOLUTION NUMBER 7173 (CCS)
WHEREAS, the Superior Court of the State of California for
the County of Los Angeles has ordered the Santa Monica City
Council to redraft the ballot title description contained in
Paragraph 6 of Resolution Number 7l73(CCS),
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
rIONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The ballot title contained in section 6 of
Resolution Number 7l73(CCS) shall be amended to read as follows:
PROPOSITION II II. Shall Article
XVIII of the City Charter,
enti tIed "Rent Control, "be YES
amended by adding certain new
sections and amending certain
existing sections to provide that
upon voluntary vacancy of a
controlled rental unit the
landlord may establish a new base
rent for such controlled rental
unit if the landlord complies with NO
the provisions of a program
entitled "Tenant Incentive
Program"?

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and henceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
