OF SANTA MONICA FINDING THE PUBLIC CO~VENIENCE
AND NECES 51 TY REQ VI RE STREET RES VRF ACT NG AND
CONSTRUCTION OF GUTTERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
RESOLUTIOK OF INTENTION 7183 (CITY COU~CIL

WHEREAS, the C~ty Councll of the C~ty of Santa Monlca,
on the 25th day of March, 1986, passed and adopted ~ts Resolution
of Intentlon, being Resolutlon No. 7183 (CCS). declar:lng lts
~ntent10n to order the work. descr~bed there1.n to be done, whlch
sa1d Resolutlon of Intentlon duly and legally WdS publ1.shed as .,
required by law and not~ce of sa~d lmprovement has been g1ven ln
the manner requ1red by law and all written ob]ect1ons and
protests to the proposed work or the extent of the distrlct to be
assessed were heard and cons1dered by the Clty Counc1.1; and

Commerc1ally or Industrlally Zoned port~ons of:
Yale Street between Wllshlre and Santa Monica
P1CO Boulevard between App~an Way and 4th Street
Ocean Front from P~co Boulevard to Bay Street
Llncoln Boulevard from Montana to San Vlcente
19th Street between W~lshlre Boulevard and Montana Ave.
WHEREAS. sa1d lmprovement has been consldered fully,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COlJKCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIOK 1. The publlC interest and convenlence requlre,
and the Clty CounCll of the Clty of Santa Honlca hereby orders,
the work descrlbed ln the Resolutlon of Intentlon to be done on:
23rd Street between Santa Monlca and Broadway
Schdder Drlve between Cloverfleld to west end
Commerclally or Industrlally Zoned portions of:
Yale Street between Wllshlre and Santa Monlca
P1CO Boulevard between Applan Way and 4th Street
Ocean Front from P1CO Boulevard to Bay Street
Llncoln Boulevard from Montana to San Vlcente
19th Street between Wllsh1re Boulevard and Montana Ave.
all w1th1n the Clty of Santa Monlca.
Any and all of sald protests and Ob]ectlons of every
kind and nature to the proposed work or to the extent of the
d1strlct to be assessed be and the same hereby are overruled and
denled.
SECTION 2. The Clty CounCll hereby flnds and determlnes
further that "Specldl Assessment Investlgatlon, Llillltatlon and
Ma]Orlty Protest Act of 1931" shall not apply to the maklng of
sald lmprovement.
SECTION 3. The lmprovements shall be conducted under the
Improvement Act of 1911, WhlCh 18 Dlvislon 7 of the Streets and
Highway
Code
of
the
St ate
of
Callfornla,
and
the
Street
Superlntendent and the City Attorney presented to the said Clty
Councll the Resolutlon of Intentlon requlred by sald Improvement
Act to lnltlate the proceedlngs for sald lmprovement.

SECTION 4. A Notlce Inv~tlng Blds was publlshed for two
days In the Evenlng Outlook. a newspaper publlshed and clrculated
In sald Clty.
SECTION S. Reference hereby lS made to sald Resolutlon
of Inteutlon for a descriptlon of the work. the assessment
dlstrlct. and for further partlculars.
SECTION 6. The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon
of thlS Resolutlon. and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be In full force and effect.
