RESOLuTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAKTA
MONICA CONFIRMI~G THE REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT
OF STREETS REGARDING REPAIRS TO DAMAGED SIDEWALKS,
DRIVEWAYS AND CURBS (SR-86-78)
WHEREAS, the
Street Super~ntendent
of the C~ty of Santa
Hon~ca, pursuant to Sectlon 5600 to 5630 of the Streets and Hlghways
Code, commenced proceedlngs to cause the repalr of damaged sldewalks,
drlveways and curbs ~n the Clty of Santa Monlca at 1762 9th St., 1433
10th St., 1453 10th St., 1438 11th St., 1118 10th St., 1457 12th
St.,1840 Euclld St., 408 Pallsades Ave., 331 Pallsades Ave., 606610
Wl1shlre Blvd., 1507 18th St., 1533 18th St., 1453 12th St., 1428 lath
St., dnd 2330 M1.chlgan Ave. all with~n the Clty of Santa MOOlca.
WHEREAS, Slxty days after sald order was served, the work had
not been completed by the owners or persons in posseSSlon of the
affected propert~es, and the Superlntendent of Streets caused the work
to be done; and

WHEREAS, upon the day and hour flxed for hearlng by Resolutlon
Number 7181 (eCS), the e~ty Councl1 of the Clty of Santa Monlca heard
and passed upon the report of the Superlntendent of Streets together

\onth all objections and protests as requ~red by Sect~on 561S of the
Streets dud H~ghways Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COU:iCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA plONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The report

SECTION 2.
All protest s and 0 b J e c t l 0 n s of every k ~ n d and
nature to the report of the Super1ntendent of Streets be and the same
are hereby overruled and den~ed.
SECTION 3.
The cost of the repairs, as set forth in the
report of the Super1ntendeut of Streets, shall be assessed agalnst the
propertles there~n descr~bed, WhlCh propertles front upon the sldewalk
upon wh~ch the repalrs were made.
SECTION 4.
If such assessment 1.S not pa1d withl.n the tl.me
permltted by law, the Same shall constltute a spec~al assessment
aga1nst and lien on the propertles there1u descr~bed, in the amount
set forth III the report of the Super1ntendent of Streets, whlch IJ.en
shall conr1nue unt11 the assessment and all 1nterest thereon 1S pa~d
or untll It 1S d~scharged of record.
SECTION 5.
If the assessment 1S not pa1d wlth1n the tJ.me
perm1tted by law, the Super1.ntendent of Streets, 1.n accordance with
Sectlon 5628 of the Streets and H1ghways Code, shdll del1.ver a Not~ce
of Ll.en, prepared in the manner requ1.red by Seet1.on 5626 of the

Streets and H~ghways Code, to the County Aud~tor who shall collect the
assessment together w~th all other taxes aga~nst the property.
SECTIO~ 6.
The CJ..ty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of
th~s resolut~on and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be ~n
full force and effect.
