WHEREAS, on July 9, 1985, NotIce of PreparatIon of an
EnVIronmental Impact Report on Development RevIew 305, and
ConJltloDa1 Use Permlt 390 for a seven-story, 255-room hotel and
3-story ~ommercIal complex at 1723 - 4tn Street was pUblIshed In
complIance WIth toe Ca1lfJrnIa EnVIronmental QualIty Act; and
WHEREAS, NotIce of CompletIon of a Draft EnVIronmental
Impact Report was publIshed on November 27, 1985; and
WHEREAS, a pUblIC reVIew perlod expIred on December 27,
1985; anJ
~-vHEREi'\5, 0'1 J anua r y 28, 1986, tne comp1e tIon of the F IDa1
EnVIronmental Impact Report on the proposed proJect, consIstIng
of tne Draft EnVIronmental Impact Report, comments on the
document, and responses to ~ornm2nts was certIfIed; and
WHEREAS, on AprIl 7, 1986, the CIty PlannID9 CommISSIon
conducted a duly notlceJ publIC nearIng on the Flnal EIR and the
proposEj proJect, certlfleJ tDe FInal EIR and approved the
pro]e;:t; and

~HEREAS, on Apr~l 8, 1986, the Plann~ng Comm~ss~onls act~on
was dppealed to the CIty CouncIl; and
WHEREAS, on May 6, 1986, the C~ty CouncIl conducted a
publIcly notIced hearIng on tD2 FInal EnVIronmental Impact Report
and the proposed proJect.
NOw, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN~A MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
