WHEREA3, the CIty deSIres to Implement a trolley serVIce
for t~e i1aln Street area to mItIgate parkIng and traffIc
problems; and

serVlce 1n operatIon by June 15, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the CIty has researched and found several
manufacturers who bUIld trolley type vehIcles; and
W4EREAS, there 1S o~ly one manufacturer who can prov1de
a trolley type veh18le by June 15th; and

$67,000 WhiCh IS slgnIfIcantly less tha~ the prIce (between
$85,000 and $89,JOO) of other trolley type vehIcles ~y the other
manufacturers; and

SSCTION 1. Pursuant to MunIcIpal Code SectIon 2508, the
Clty Councll walves the competItIve blddl~g for the purchase of a
trolley type vehlcle.
SECTION 2. The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon
of thlS Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be In full force and effect.
