RESOLUTION NO. 8935
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF THE ST. MONICA'S
CHURCH OCTOBERFAIR 5/10K RACE ON SEPTEMBER 23, 1995, ON
A ROUTE OTHER THAN THE OFFICIAL CITY ROUTES AND
REDUCING THE FEE FOR THE RACE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3 of the Resolution Number 7011 (CCS), the
City CounCil may authorize a race route different from the offiCial City race routes set
forth therem,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That on September 23, 1995 between the hours of 7:30 am
and 9:30 a.m., partiCipants m the St MOnica's 5 and 10K Race may and are hereby
authorrzed to conduct a runnmg race along the follOWing route.
5K race begms at Seventh Street and California Avenue, west on California Ave
to Ocean Avenue, north on Ocean Avenue to San Vicente Boulevard, east on
San Vicente Boulevard to Seventh Street, south on Seventh Street to Georgina
Avenue, west on Georgma Avenue to Fourth Street, south on Fourth Street to
California Avenue, east on California Avenue to Seventh Street.

E. All barricade and cone rentals for marking the course will be paid for by
St. MOnica's.
F St. MOnica's shall provide a certificate of Insurance for One Million
Dollars ($1,000,000) per individual incident, naming the CIty of Santa
MOnica, Its City CouncIl, boards and commiSSions, employees as
additional Insured.
G St. MOnica's will clean-up and remove all slgnage along route after the
race.
H. St. MOnica's Will pay a Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollar ($2,500) race
fee.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thIs Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
