A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
ON THE CHEVROLET/GEO AUTOMOBILE DEALERSHIP
AT 3223 SANTA MONICA BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact
Report was issued In December, 1994, and
WHEREAS, a Notlce of Completion of a Draft Environmental
Impact Report was publlshed in January of 1995j and
WHEREAS, a shortened review per~od was granted by the State
Clearinghouse and the Draft Environmental Impact Report was
clrculated for a 30-day period, and
WHEREAS, ~n March, 1995, the Final Environmental Impact
Report was publlshed; and
WHEREAS,
the
Plann~ng
Commission's
environmental
determinat~on was appealed to Clty Counc~l and, In response to
that appeal, the subJect EIR was prepared for certification by
the Clty Cauncll;
WHEREAS, on March 21, 1995, the Clty Council, as Lead City
Agency, reviewed the Final Envlronmental Impact Report,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Counc~l has reviewed and considered the
Final Envlronmental Impact Report on the Chevrolet/Geo Dealership
at 3223 Santa Monica Boulevard prlor to actlng on the proJect.
SECTION
2.
The
City
Council
certifies
that
the
env1ronmental review for the proJect was conducted 1n full
compliance with State and Clty CEQA GUldelines, that there was
adequate public reVlew of the Draft Envlronmental Impact Report,
that it has considered all comments on the Draft Environmental
Impact Report and responses to comments,
that the Final
Environmental Impact Report adequately discusses all slgnificant
environmental issues, that the Final Environmental Impact Report
reflects the independent Judgement of the C1ty, and that the Clty
Council has considered the contents of the Flnal Environmental
Impact Report in lts decislon-making process.
SECTION 3.
The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon of
this Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
