A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
EXTENDING THE TIME PERIOD FOR EXERCISING A
CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS PERMITTING
A REPLACEMENT FENCE AT 415 PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, a Certlflcate of Appropriateness application was
f~led requestlng a replacement fence along Paclflc Coast Highway
at 415 Paciflc Coast Hlghway, hlstorically known as the site of
the North Guest House at the Marlon Davies Estate, on September
25, 1994i and
WHEREAS, the Landmarks Commisslon, followlng a publlC
hearlng, approved the requested Cert~ficate of Approprlateness on
October 10, 1994i and
WHEREAS, the Landmarks Commission recommended City Council
extend the Certlflcate of Approprlateness approval by resolution
for the maXlmum 180 aay perlod on March 13, 1995i and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Santa Monica Municipal Code Sectlon
9.36.170{h), thlS Certiflcate of Approprlateness shall expire lf
the work authorlzed lS not commenced withln 180 days of the
approval, and
WHEREAS, this Certlflcate of Approprlateness shall explre
on Aprll 10, 1995 unless otherwlse extended, and

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Commission has recommended that the
Clty Councl.l adopt a resolutl.on extending this Certificate of
Appropriateness for the maXlmum permitted 180 days,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The City Council has revlewed the Landmarks
Commlssion's recommendation and extends the Certlflcate of
Appropriateness permlt for a replacement fence along Pacific
Coast Highway at 415 Paclflc Coast Highway for an additional 180
days.
SECTION 2,
The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption
of this Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect
