A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A PROPOSAL AND
THE SIGNING OF A CONTRACT FOR PROVIDING SERVICES FOR
ELDERLY PERSONS
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Senior Citizens Affalrs
has been awarded the funds for providing services for the elderly under the
Older Americans Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica wishes to apply for Older Americans Act
funds for social services in order to administer said services; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Santa Monica approve the
submittal of the proposal for Older Americans Act funds; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the C1ty of Santa Monica designate and
authorize a representative to s19n the contract for Older Americans Act funds
on behalf of the said Clty of Santa Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica approves the
submittal of a proposal for Older Americans Act funds.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica designates the
City Manager or in his absence, the Assistant City Manager as the authorized
representative to sign the contract and all documents necessary to accompany
sald contract, including all amendments to said contract within the fiscal

SECTION 3. The C,ty Clerk shall cert,fy to the adoptlon of thlS
Resolutiont and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
